Miami Heat made a great move in the free agency when they acquired Jimmy Butler from the Philadelphia 76ers team. The Heat are trying to build their new team around Butler but they know he alone is not enough. It is why they have been constantly looking at supportive players such as Bradley Beal, Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul.

Out of all these NBA superstars, the name of Chris Paul makes the most sense given his form and ease of trade deal. The Oklahoma City Thunder will be willing to trade out Paul if someone offers them a reasonable package and Miami have the assets required. The pairing between Butler and Paul would be efficient and can help Miami win the weaker NBA Eastern Conference.

Chris Paul is an excellent point guard which can be useful for any of the NBA teams in 2019-20 season. Even though Paul is 34 years old, he has been constantly working out and is in great shape for the next NBA season. In the last season with the Rockets, Chris had an average of 15.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 8.2 assists, and 2.0 steals while shooting 41.9 percent from the field and 35.8 percent of three-pointers.

It doesn’t mean that his numbers are faded as the reason could be the miff with James Harden. CP3 could be a great support to Jimmy Butler and rest of the Miami Heat, with his veteran experience and ability to keep the locker room atmosphere a bit stable.
Thunder are Ready to Trade Chris Paul
The team of Miami Heat has previously also tried to sign Chris Paul and pair him up with Jimmy Butler when the Rockets released him. Although, the Oklahoma City Thunder acquired him at that point in the Russel Westbrook trade exchange deal.
But the Thunder have no plans to use Chris Paul and would be willing to trade him out for future picks or younger assets in exchange. The Thunder would ask for a future first-round pick which the Heat may give it a thought. There are other teams such as Minnesota Timberwolves waiting in line to sign Chris Paul and hence Miami needs to hurry their decision.
