Antonio Brown may have been released from the Patriots, it doesn’t mean they don’t owe him any money. Brown was supposed to be paid $5 million out of his $9 million signing bonus from the New England team. But Robert Kraft didn’t like the sexual allegation lawsuits against Brown and the damage it was doing to brand image of Patriots, and hence released him on Friday.

The All-Pro wide receiver was enraged by it and called quits on playing NFL in a tweet he shared on Sunday. Brown complained about no action taken against Patriots owner Robert Kraft and warned them he will go to NFL and file a lawsuit to get his guaranteed money back.

Brown is reportedly going to file a grievance against the Patriots and their owner Robert Kraft to get $9 million of his guaranteed money. Along with that, the Patriots also owe him a minimum of $283,333 for his remaining salary. As far as the rules go, Brown has not done anything wrong technically to commit a forfeitable breach of his contract.

NFL has not banned Antonio Brown nor he is suspended, to the exact opposite, he is still a free agent. The Patriots released Brown before the verdict of NFL for the ongoing investigation and it is something which breaks the laws.

Brown is currently facing two lawsuits and there is also the accusation of sending threatening text messages to the second woman. All the drama and bad image of Brown in the media can make it hard for his side. Everything will only be clear when the NFL completes the investigation and makes a decision on Brown.
