Bradley Beal has been getting a lot of offers as the trade deadline is just a week away and he has yet not signed the contract extension with the Washington Wizards. The Wizards offered Beal a three-year, $111 million contract extension and the last date to sign it is October 21. In case Beal doesn’t sign the extension contract, he would be eligible to go to any team as a free agent in the NBA 2020 February trade deals.
Although it doesn’t mean that the Wizards can’t have their star player back, they can sign Beal for a new contract. It makes a lot of sense as Bradley Beal would like to listen to the offers from other NBA teams and also it will make the Washington side pay him a higher salary to counter the bids.
Short Term, High Paying Contract Extension
The Wizards have no intention to trade out Bradley Beal as he is an important part of their team and they want to build their future roster around him. As of right now, Beal still has two years left on his contract and the Wizards have offered him a three-year contract extension.

If Beal wishes some changes, the Wizards side can reduce the time and make the extension for one or two years. The fact is they need him badly and even if paying more money for less time because once the team gets stable Beal would not leave them. The ultimate aim of Bradley Beal is to get an NBA championship and why not do it with the Wizards instead.
Bradley Beal is a Valuable NBA Player
Bradley Beal is an All-Star shooting guard who is in its prime years and have a lot of game left. Beal is just 26 years old and locking in him for a long term deal makes sense but the Wizards are nowhere close to being the NBA title contenders. If somehow Beal is put up on the trade market, he would bring out a huge return in exchange as he is someone who can improve any team.

Beal had an average of 25.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 1.5 steals, 47.5 percent field shots, and 35.1 percent three-pointers in the NBA 2018-19 season. The Wizards would re-sign Beal in any way possible even if they have to wait for the NBA 2019-20 season or after.
