The Pittsburgh Steelers are in a tough spot for the 2019 NFL season as two of their opening quarterbacks are injured badly. While Ben Roethlisberger was out after a major injury in his hand, the backup QB Mason Rudolph was also injured in the recent Week 5 game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Earl Thomas, the safety from the Ravens knocked out Rudolph and it looked very scary. The young QB felt on the ground and the whole of the Steelers roster was scared as hell. Rudolph was hospitalized after the game and was then moved to his house. But it looks like the Steelers are still risking to play with Rudolph in Week 6 game against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.
Ben Roethlisberger is Out of the NFL 2019
The Steelers lost the 2019 NFL season the moment when their opening quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was injured earlier. Roethlisberger broke his elbow and from the looks of it, he will be out for the entire season. The Steelers are already a weak time and have lost all their main players this year.
Le’Veon Bell went to the New York Jets and Antonio Brown went to the Raiders and then Patriots after which he was released. Without Big Ben, the Steelers are unable to perform and the injury of Mason Rudolph will make it only worse.
Steelers are at 1-4 in the Season
NFL 2019 season has been bad for the Steelers and they are at 1-4 which may get even lower in the next game. The opening game for Steelers was against the New York Patriots who thrashed them at 33-3 and after that everything went downhill.
Although the Steelers gave a tough fight to the Seahawks, 49ers and Ravens, they still lost the games. Pittsburgh managed to defeat the Bengals and they can score a few more victories with Rudolph starting for them. The Steelers would take the risk of starting Week 6 game with Mason Rudolph or they could use undrafted quarterback Devlin Hodges.
